Lutherans at Prayer
You have to tell us
when you're hospitalized!

Federal Privacy Regulation — HIPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) prohibits all hospitals from informing churches of a patient’s presence unless the patient or next of kin gives permission for the hospital to do so.  If you are admitted to a hospital and would like a member of church staff to visit you, please notify the hospital verbally, phone the church at 632-8023 or Nancy at 632-7558 (H) or 641-7619 (C).  For after-hours emergencies, Council President Dennis Gorr can be reached at 308-220-0030. We will visit the hospital to offer encouragement and to pray with you, but have to know you’re there.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

PRAYER SHAWLS: Prayer Shawls are given to members of our church family who are struggling with long-term or life-threatening illness, facing a family or personal crisis such as loss of employment or divorce. Before being delivered, each shawl has been touched by many who pray over it and then sign the card displayed next to it. If you learn of someone you feel would benefit by having one of these shawls, please contact Nancy.

If you knit or crochet and would like to use your talent to create shawls for this ministry, please contact Nancy Steele or Judy Williams. A pattern and/or yarn will be provided upon request.
CALVARY PRAYER HOTLINE!

If you would like to participate in Calvary's Prayer Hotline, please call Parish Ministry Assistant Nancy Steele at 632-8023 or fill in the electronic message below and click on Send. There are two ways to participate.

1. By eMail - when given a prayer request, Nancy will e-mail it to you and you are then asked to take a couple of minutes to pray for the request.  That is all there is to that.

2. By phone - You will be placed on a calling tree and receive a request by phone.  You will be asked to pray for the request and then possibly make another call to pass the request on.

Calvary's Prayer Hotline is a vital part of ministry here.  We all can use extra prayers at times in our lives, and we can all certainly spare a few minutes to pray for someone else.  Please consider participating in this ministry. Volunteer to pray for others today by filling in the form below on the left side. The form on the right is for prayer requests. Both go directly to Nancy.
